KT&G SangSang Madang Busan announced the top six finalists for the 2025
SangSang Live Studio program, which is dedicated to discovering emerging
artists.
A total of 82 teams applied for this year's program since the open call
last December. It recorded the highest level of competition with a 14:1
competition rate. The top six teams were selected following the first-round
document review and second-round live performance evaluation. The chosen
teams—Kwon Gyeol, ZYXA, Confined White, Polyamory, Heaven Is There, and Route
7—demonstrated outstanding artistic capabilities.
These six teams will compete in the final performance on Mar. 23 at
KT&G SangSang Madang Busan Live Hall, where the ultimate winner will be
determined. The winning team will receive a cash prize along with opportunities
to perform at KT&G SangSang Madang Hongdae Live Hall and the Busan
International Rock Festival.
As one of KT&G SangSang Madang Busan’s flagship cultural and artistic
programs, SangSang Live Studio was launched in 2020 to discover and nurture
talented musicians. Through this initiative, SangSang Madang Busan has
supported a total of 61 teams, including Mosshill and Bandgirin, counting up to
last year.
KT&G Performance Manager Kim Cheon-beom stated, “We hope that SangSang
Live Studio can serve as another opportunity for up-and-coming musicians with
unique identities and exceptional skills to connect with the public. Moving
forward, we will continue to support new artists and contribute to the growth
of diverse music genres and performance culture.”
KT&G SangSang Madang serves as a multifaceted cultural and artistic
space, supporting the creative activities of emerging artists while offering
diverse cultural experiences to the public. Since the launch of its first
location in Hongdae in 2007, the platform has expanded to five locations,
including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the development
of regional culture and the broadening of cultural and artistic engagement.
KT&G SangSang Madang attracts around 3 million visitors annually and hosts
over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
