KT&G, presents Planet Day to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the launching of ‘KT&G Imagine Planet’ 2023.07.14
KT&G (CEO Baek Bok-in) will hold a memorial event on the 13th to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the launching of the youth entrepreneurship support center, ‘KT&G Imagine Planet.’ Also, they will manage ‘Planet Day’ until the 15th to support the actual rise by seeking new channels and advertising exchanges among resident companies.

Planet Day consists of ‘Planet Talk,’ in which senior young entrepreneurs discuss their experiences with their juniors, and ‘Connect Planet,’ a party where they can network and discuss mutual interests. Furthermore, there will be a ‘Planet Market’ where visitors can directly sell products, as well as a ‘Planet Popup’ booth where they can bring up and demonstrate technologies and solutions to visitors. In addition, spaces such as the Planet Support Message Zone, photo booth, and food truck will be set up for visitors who come to Imagine Planet on Planet Day.

For now, Imagine Planet is a youth entrepreneurship space that KT&G opened in 2020 in Seongsu-dong’s “Social Venture Valley” to care for social innovation entrepreneurs and help the youth job creation. It has settled itself as a “mecca for youth entrepreneurship” by compensating rental fees at half the level of nearby shared offices, decreasing the difficulties on young entrepreneurs, and giving personalized programs to enhance useful potential.

As of now, Imagine Planet has over 60 companies and more than 200 residents, with an occupancy rate of over 90%. Over the past three years, more than 130 companies have developed their businesses and employed additional staff based on Imagine Planet, gaining such an important outcome.

A KT&G official stated, “KT&G is repeatedly aiming to build a successful model for the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem and create youth employment opportunities.” They added, “In the future, we will spare no effort in giving numerous help to young people who have entrepreneurial dreams through KT&G Imagine Planet.”
