KT&G (President Baek Bok-in ) announced on March 25th that it will participate in the “Helping Farmers Relay Campaign” to support flower farmers suffering from the spread of Corona 19.


This campaign is being held as a relay to help flower farmers who are struggling as various events are being cancelled such as graduation ceremonies, entrance ceremonies, and congratulations. President Baek Bok-in was appointed by the representative of SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance Company, Kim Sang-taek.


President Baek Bok-in delivered a message of appreciation and support along with flowers to the employees ahead of the foundation anniversary on April 1st. In addition, through KT&G's life cycle family care program, “Gahwa Mansaseong,” he prepared an event to present flowers to employees' families. In addition, President Baek Bok-in appointed President Kim Jae-soo of KGC Ginseng Corporation as the next participant in the relay campaign.


President Baek Bok-in said, “I am participating in this campaign to support flower farmers who are struggling with reduced flower consumption and lower prices due to the Corona 19 crisis.” , "I hope that this will gradually increase the consumption of the flower market and help the farmers save their livelihood."


Even before helping flower farmers, KT&G continued to support from multiple angles to overcome Corona19. We delivered an emergency grant of 500 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association and participated in the “Good Landlord Movement,” which cut fixed rental fees for small businesses in Daegu and other regions In addition, along with its subsidiary KGC Ginseng Corporation, the company delivered ginseng products worth KRW 1.6 billion to field medical staff and related workers.
