KT&G(CEO, Baek Bok In) will hold a creative exhibition of disabled artists 'Over the Rainbow' at KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae Gallery (June 24 ~ August 4) and KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Art Gallery (August 9 ~ September 16).

Over the Rainbow, the second annual event this time, is an exhibition that supports artists with disabilities and presents their works to the public. In cooperation with the Seoul Culture Foundation Jamsil Creative Studio, the first disability artist creation space in Korea, artists were recruited publicly and the final 12 artists were selected. With the theme of 'Colorful Eyes Looking at the World', 110 pieces including flat and three dimensional works will be on display.

The '2nd Over the Rainbow' exhibition will be held for 77 days free of charge.

KT&G Sangsangmadang sponsored the exhibition and provided the location and the production support fee to support the artists' creative activities. In addition, we plan to continue to help artists to create works by selling art products utilizing the works of participating artists.

The first 'Over the Rainbow' held last year was visited by more than 1,200 spectators for 15 days, and this second exhibition is expected to be very popular as well.

"Over the Rainbow" exhibition is designed to support the creation of disability artists by identifying new artists and eliminating the prejudice of disability, "said Ji Hyo-seok, director of cultural affairs at KT&G." In the future, we will continue to do our best so that artists who lack support will be able to demonstrate their abilities with various artists support programs.

On the other hand, 'KT&G Sangsangmadang' is a representative multi-cultural art space in Korea where people can enjoy various cultural arts such as exhibitions, performances and movies in one place It contributes to the creation of practical arts and culture ecosystem by providing opportunities for creativity to creators and opportunities for enjoyment of culture to the public.
