KT&G(CEO Baek Bok In) will present 'dear.you', the second project of an art support project 'Art in Sangsangmadang', and will release its first single album on March 20th.
Art In Sangsangmadang is a creative support program held at KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon, which is a concept of 'Art Stay' which combines cultural art and accommodation. KT&G provides opportunities for artists to stay in Sangsangmadang Chuncheon and supports for their works and publicity.
The 2nd Art In Sangsangmadang: dear.you is a concept of "delivering letters through music", where artists and applicants meet to share their stories and produce music. The artists accompanied are the acoustic band 'Papercut Project'.
KT&G Sangsangmadang finally picked up nine letters after receiving stories in January. Various stories were selected such as stories about ‘a couple who have been neglected by each other’, ‘a daughter who missed a father who died a year ago’, and ‘support for myself’. Nine selected storywriters stayed in KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Stay (Hotel) for 2 days and 1 night, and met with the artists and shared their stories.
KT&G Sangsangmadang created album covers and memorabilia postcards by photographing the production process in Chuncheon.
The 'Papercut Project' produced stories of nine people into music whom they met in person. The sound source will be released on single albums of the Papercut Project every month from March 20th until November. The 'Papercut Project' is a group formed in 2012 by Sugar Ball's Go Chang In (vocal) and Soulights' Kim Doo Hyun (Cajon), and Yoo Kyung Pyo (guitar). In this album, the details of the storywriters will be melted in a witty way, and everyone will share the stories that they can sympathize with.
