313 KT&G will recruit 8th college students overseas volunteer group 2019.04.17

KT&G (CEO, Baek Bok In) will recruit 8th KT&G Cambodia Hope Correspondents for volunteer activities in Cambodia from college students nationwide.


The volunteer group will be sent to Siem Reap, Cambodia for about two weeks from July 9 to 19. They will work on building and repairing elementary schools near the area, offering educational services, and informing Korean culture through talent donations. KT&G will support the total cost of the program, including operating costs and airfare.


This program is available to all undergraduate students and can be applied through the homepage (ktng.sangsangmadang.com/hope). The final 10 applicants will receive an in-depth interview after screening the first submitted documents for their gift items and motivation for support.


During the recruitment period, a campaign to donate books to Cambodian schools will also be held. When you access the "Contribution of the book donation campaign" on the homepage and give a cheer comment, KT&G will donate as many books using the fund of the KT&G Welfare


KT&G official said, "KT & G has dispatched 1100 volunteers to Cambodia for 15 years since 2005 to help improve the living conditions of the underprivileged.” “We are expecting a lot of participation from college students with various talents and passions. "


KT&G strives to fulfill its social responsibilities as a global corporation. In Indonesia, Laos and Myanmar, schools were built and repaired, and educational equipment was delivered. In addition, it is actively engaged in social contribution activities not only in Korea but also abroad, such as building a forestry and agriculture center to help independence of environmental refugees in Mongolia.
