320 KT&G to Hold Sangsang Summit, Youth Program for Startups 2018.02.28



KT&G (CEO Bok-in Baek) held Sangsang Summit to support CSR startups together with government officials, private organizations and CSR managers of corporations.


The Summit was held at the International Conference room of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on February 28. KT&G kick-started the KT&G Sangsang Startup Camp in October 2017 and the selected young participants for CSR startups underwent 14 weeks of education including coaching from business mentors and introduction of business systems that they can use when starting their own business.


Approximately four hundred professionals from government or government-related organizations, private entrepreneurship promotion organizations, CSR team of corporations, and investors. It was also meaningful in that major institutions like Social and Economic Support Center of Seoul Metropolitan Government, SOPOONG, Beaming, and Naver, operating youth entrepreneurship program participated in the Summit.


The participants discussed on four topics including social innovator’s social value, education for innovators, colleague for innovation and social support for sustainable innovation. KT&G will hold Sangsang Summit annually to seek for sustainable development of startup ecosystem.


KT&G is inviting applicants for the 2nd Sangsang Startup Camp for young people looking to launch startups. Applicants may apply through the webpage ( http://ktngstartupcamp.com ) by March 9. KT&G will deliver preliminary presentation for the potential applicants at Micro-impact Square at Kwancheol-dong, Jonno-gu in Seoul before March 9.
