KT&G Welfare Foundation will share 500 million Korean won worth of winter blankets for 10,000 low-income households nationwide.

KT&G Welfare Foundation has provided daily necessity through ‘goods of love’ share events in winter for low-income households. In 2017, the foundation will be delivering 500 million won worth of winter blankets for 10,000 households with difficulties for heating cost, together with Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers until December 15.

Last year, KT&G Welfare Foundation donated 400 million won worth electric blanket for low-income households. The foundation has donated winter supplies for low-income household for four years since 2014.

“Many people are having a hard time coping with cold winter season. I hope we can help people withstand the winter,” said a related person of the welfare foundation.

KT&G Welfare Foundation was established in 2003 for more effective social welfare realization. It operates eight Happiness Network Welfare Centers for close local coverage and provides professional welfare service for the underprivileged including people in social welfare institutions and low-income families.
