263 Iraq Government Delegation to Learn Best Privatization Practice from KT&G 2017.08.11

▶The delegation from Iraq including Maher Hammad Johan, the vice-minister of planning ministry (8th from left) visited KT&G (CEO Bok-in Baek, 7th from left) on August 10, with a view to study the best privatization practice at KT&G Seoul headquarter.


August 10, seven high-ranking officials visiting South Korea visited KT&G (CEO Bok-in Baek) Seoul headquarter with a view to benchmark a successful privatization practice.


The delegation including Maher Hammad Johan, the vice-minister of planning ministry, had a meeting with Bok-in Baek, CEO of KT&G to learn about the success story of KT&G exporting its products to 50 countries with doubled sales and profit after its privatization in year 2002.


They also discussed on the future cooperation plans with KT&G exporting 13 billion sticks of cigarette annually, mainly ESSE and PINE brands to Iraq.


On August 7, the delegation of Iraq invited by KOTRA arrived in Seoul. In June, the economic delegation of Laos visited KT&G to study the best privatization practice.
