KT&G(CEO Bok-in Baek) invites participants for ‘S. around’ which provides album release and concerts for experienced musicians between May 15 and June 21.

S. around celebrating its 3rd anniversary is a unique program of KT&G Sangsang Madang for continuous activity of experienced musicians, while most of support programs are focused on rookies in Korea.

Five teams including ‘Gonne Choi’, a famous indie singer in Hongdae, ‘Danpyunsun and the Sailors’ and ‘SAVINA & DRONES’ won the opportunity for album release and concerts hosted by KT&G through S. around program.

Any musician who released one or more albums may apply for S. around. Applicants are supposed to submit three demo songs and application at KT&G Sangsang Madang S. around webpage ( http://saround.sangsangmadang.com ).

A reward of 3 million won prize money and 15 million won for album release will be offered to final winners. In addition, they can use ‘Chuncheon Live Studio’, an album recording station in Sangsang Madang Chuncheon, for 15 days for free and participate in a variety of concerts hosted by KT&G.

Hyoseok Ji, head of cultural contribution team, KT&G, said “S. around is the only support program for experienced musicians in Korea. The program will be developed to re-explore and support talented musicians who have been excluded from support because most of support programs focus on rookies.”
