 KT&G Welfare Foundation will donate winter heating supplies equivalent of 400,000,000 won for 10,000 low-income households in Korea.

Between December 21 and 30, together with Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers, KT&G Welfare Foundation will provide electric pads for households without heating during winter season to save money on heating bills from gas or other energy sources.

In 2015, the foundation delivered first-aid boxes for low-income households who are not even able to pay for medical bills for hurt from a fall on icy road. The foundation volunteers have donated winter supplies for economically challenged people every winter season.

A related person of the Foundation said, “There are many people who give up heating during the cold winter season due to heating bills. In addition to electric pads we provide this winter, we will try to help economically challenged people with diversified sharing activities.”

KT&G Welfare Foundation was founded in 2003 for more efficient social welfare activity. The Foundation runs eight Happiness Network Welfare Centers nationwide for customized service for each location to provide professional welfare service targeting local community, social welfare facility, low-income households, the elderly and the handicapped.
