▶KT&G Sangsang Madang was awarded Performing Culture grand prize at 2016 Korea Consumer Satisfaction Evaluation Award Ceremony held at Taepyung Hall in Seoul City Hall on December 14. KT&G Sangsang Madang was awarded Performing Culture Grand Prize at 2016 Korea Consumer Satisfaction Evaluation Award Ceremony.
2016 Korea Consumer Satisfaction Evaluation Award Ceremony, co-hosed by KCA (Korea Consumer Appraisal) and Korea Consumer Association, was held at Taepyung Hall in Seoul City Hall on December 14. The ceremony reflected KCSE (Korea Consumer Satisfaction Evaluation) results conducted by industry from Jane until October.
KT&G Sangsang Madang maintained high level of recognition by visitors and led Korea’s performing culture in Hongdae, the center of culture. It was also recognized that Sangsang Madang had positive influence the whole culture including not only performing culture but movies and culture & art education.
Since its opening in September 2007, KT&G Sangsang Madang has provided creativity activity support for artists and diversified cultural experience for visitors. It has contributed to new culture creation by suggesting and sharing a new trend for multiple areas including performance, movie, exhibition, education and photography.
KT&G opened another Sangsang Madang in Nonsan City in Chungcheongnam Province and also another one in Chuncheon City in Kangwaon Province. Annual visitors amount to 1.8 million for those three Sangsang Madangs. Sangsang Madang holds a representative culture complex place running diversified 2,600 culture & art programs annually in the field of movie, performance, exhibition, design and education.
Earlier on November 22, KT&G was certified as ‘Excellent Culture & Art Support Organization’ by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for contributing culture & art development via Sangsang Madang, a culture complex. The Company also received the grand prize from the President at ‘2015 MECENA Award’ for revitalizing non-mainstream culture and alienated local culture.
