▶September 30, KT&G directors (from front left 9th,  Namdeuk Huh, Head of Management Support Division, Vice President Heungryul Kim, Head of Manufacturing Division Jamin Park and Head of HR Development Center) take a group photo with new employees.

KT&G (CEO: Bok-in Baek) hired 35 permanent employees including 30 high school graduating students and 5 experienced positions.

These new employees started their internship in May and went through internship period of three months and probation of two months as well. T hey will be working full time at KT&G manufacturing division such as Sintanjin factory in Daejeon City.

This new hire was prepared in order to help high school graduating students with difficulties with job searching compared with college degree holders. Prior to this recruitment, KT&G also contributed to job creation via signing an agreement with its labor union to increase job opportunities for the youth via job sharing as a way of corporate social responsibility enhancement.

Since 2013, KT&G has paid monthly subsidy of 200 thousand won during mandatory military service of high school graduating employees. In addition the Company has provided scholarship for 50% of college tuition for high school graduating employees who got honorably discharged from the army after service period.

A KT&G official said, "KT&G has been expanding high school graduating students hiring according to social consensus and government policy to remove discrimination based on academic degree and college discrimination. KT&G will do its best to improve working environment and benefit of high school graduation employees."
