KT&G installed a large-sized national flag and 250 pinwheels with national flags on the walls of KT&G Seoul Office located at Yongdong-daero in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. KT&G put stickers saying ‘Imagine!! Our Korea!!’ on all the KT&G commercial vehicles. About 1,000 cars belonging to 123 sales headquarters and branches go here and there to publicize the Korean national flag.

KT&G also cooperates with Gangnam-gu Office to distribute large-sized mosaic national flags including pictures of local residents to 22 local community centers to attract citizen’s attention. Each national flag has over 300 pictures of local residents and the flags will be hung on the community center walls until August 15.

In memory of the 70th National Liberation Day in 2015, KT&G installed large-sized national flags on the walls of Sangsang Madang buildings located in Hongdae Seoul, Chuncheon Gangwon and Nonsan South Chungnam. Last year, on August 15, KT&G led ‘Tae-geuk-gi Campaign’ and also held street performance in Hongdae area.

A KT&G official said, “I wish this campaign may remind the people of the meaning of the anniversary of the independence. This won’t be a one-time photo session. KT&G will conduct Taegeukgi campaign for other national holidays as well.”
